The Ferrari F2004 is a highly successful Formula One car designed by Ross Brawn, Rory Byrne, Ignazio Lunetta, Aldo Costa, Marco Fainello and others to compete in the 2004 Formula One World Championship. Driven by Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro drivers Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello, the F2004 was heavily based on the F2003-GA used the previous season. The F2004 was powered by a Ferrari 053 3.0L V10 mated to a 7-speed sequential per Formula One regulations. One of the sport's most dominant cars, the F2004 won Ferrari both the 2004 Formula One Drivers' Championship with Schumacher and the Constructors' Championship with 262 points; it won 15 races (13 Schumacher, 2 Barrichello), achieved 9 seconds (7 Barrichello, 2 Schumacher), 5 thirds (all Barrichello), 12 pole positions (8 Schumacher, 4 Barrichello) and 14 fastest laps (10 Schumacher, 4 Barrichello). The F2004 would be upgraded into the F2004M for 2005 as a testbed for their next car, the F2005; the car scored one more podium in Australia (2nd) with Barrichello before being retired in favor of the F2005 from Bahrain. Nine chassis were built, numbered 234 to 242.
